AI Deterrence

AI Deterrence uses Alarm.com's Video Analytics to detect potential intruders and deliver an AI-generated verbal response based on what the camera actually sees. When someone enters a monitored area, AID analyzes their clothing, posture, and location, then delivers a response specific to that situation, not a generic alarm sound or pre-recorded warning.

Standard deterrents play a fixed sound regardless of what's happening. AID generates a verbal response based on what the camera actually detects, including what the person is wearing and where they are on the property. That specificity creates the impression of live monitoring, which is a meaningfully stronger deterrent than a generic alert.

No. AID operates automatically without a live operator, delivering AI-generated verbal responses through two-way audio around the clock. For situations that require a human response, AID can be paired with Remote Video Monitoring to extend coverage and bring in a live operator when needed.

AID supports multiple response modes, including Deterrence, Property Closed, Trespassing, Professionally Monitored, Not Accepting Visitors, and Leave a Message. Each mode delivers a message appropriate to the specific situation, giving businesses control over how AID responds across different scenarios.

Yes. AID allows you to tailor the voice style, tone, and gender of the response to match your operation. You can also configure responses to randomize across varied message versions, so repeat detections don't follow a recognizable pattern. Custom text-to-speech messages can be set for specific scenarios, from after-hours access warnings to site-specific notifications.

AID delivers responses in English, Spanish, French (available in Canada), and Turkish.

AID is compatible with the 516 Indoor Privacy Camera, 530 Indoor Spotlight Camera, 729 Floodlight Camera, 730 Wired Spotlight Camera, 731B Battery Spotlight Camera, Prism Series 8MP Varifocal Bullet, Prism Series 8MP Varifocal Dome, and Prism Series Fixed Dome. Prism Series cameras may require a separate I/O accessory to support two-way audio.
